Who Was Jesus?

Jesus is one of the most well-known figures on earth. His role and status are debated upon. Christians consider him to be God in the flesh who was sent down as a sacrifice to atone the sins of all mankind. Muslims consider him to be a prophet and messenger of God who was sent down to guide his people, specifically the tribes of Israel.

Will Jesus Return?

Most religions believe in the advent of a messianic figure who was to appear in the Latter Days. Muslims and Christians both await the return of Jesus, but differ in the nature of the advent. Is he to return in the flesh? Or is it a metaphorical second coming? Connect with us to learn our perspective.

Virgin Birth

Jesus was reported to have been born of a miraculous virgin birth without a father. His mother, Mary, was a pious woman who has a chapter in the Qur’an named after her. Islam affirms the fatherless birth of Jesus and rejects outright the opposing claim that his birth was illegitimate.

Whereas, Islam recognizes the virgin birth of Jesus as a miraculous event, it does not consider it unnatural; the laws of nature are never broken. Numerous scientists have explained virgin births.

In Islam, the immaculate conception of Jesus is not interpreted to mean that he was in some way a Divine Being. He was still a human being.

Crucifixion

Crucifixion was a common punishment that involved putting criminals on a wooden cross, nailing their hands and feet to it and letting them hang. Jesus was convicted because his claim as the Messiah was seen as a threat to the religious and political order. Though the outcome of the crucifixion is heavily debated, Jesus being put on the cross is a historical fact.
